In 2014, Gao Min embarked on a round-the-world sailing journey, and from then on after a successful entrepreneurial period. Therefore, entrepreneur Gao Min became captain Gao Min. He named the first sailing boat that accompanied him around the world ‘The Second Dream’, which means ‘Turning over the first half of my life, sailing to the second half of my life.’In 2022, at the age of 50, Captain Gao Min set sail accompanied by a new boat named ‘AHA MOMENT’.

This exhibition will focus on these two magnificent sailing trips of Captain Gao Min, not only sharing with the audience what he saw and heard along the way, but focusing on the ‘AHA MOMENT’,showing what Captain Gao Min thought during the voyage, and capturing the moments when he was in dialogue with himself, the sea and the future.

The works in the exhibition are composed of two colours, warm and cold, which are a visual expression of the temperamental nature of the sea, and representation of the warm and cold moods of a long and lonely journey, and the impermanence of warmth and coldness that each of us encounters in our lives. These fleeting moments of epiphany convey the strength and fragility of life in the vastness of nature and extreme challenges.
