Captain Gao Min, an alumnus of Dalian Maritime University, embarked on his first circumnavigation in 2014 aboard the TAYANA 48 monohull yacht Second Dream. Over the course of two years, he sailed 66,000 nautical miles, passing through 36 countries and regions, and triumphantly returned to Dalian in June 2016, completing his first global voyage under sail.

In October 2022, with the launch of the HH 55 catamaran AHA MOMENT, Captain Gao set out on his second circumnavigation. Over two years, he called at key destinations including Japan, Russia, Alaska, the United States, Mexico, French Polynesia, American Samoa, Kiribati, and Micronesia. In June 2024, he successfully completed the first segment of his second world voyage — an in-depth trans-Pacific passage — and returned safely to Dalian.

Having sailed through the first half of life into the second, he continues onward: as long as the winds blow, life and exploration never cease, and the journey of discovering the world is forever on course.
